I grew up in a small town called Pine Knot, Kentucky that is located in McCreary County. I attended Whitley County High School, which is where I was first exposed to chemistry. As a result I developed an interest in pursuing a science degree. As a freshman in college, I had no clue what type of science degree I wanted, options seemed endless.
