The history books show that Daniel Boone passed away on Sept. 26, 1820 at his country home near present-day Defiance, Missouri.

And let history also show that Eastern Kentucky University President Michael Benson brought the famed explorer back to life on Oct. 28, 2015, in Room 454 of the Wallace Building.

I'm an Eagle scout with a silver palm and have been to Philmont, Northern Tier, Florida Sea base, and the Centennial Boy Scout Jamboree in 2010. I also love hiking, canoeing, and backcountry camping. Meet Anthony Marcum, a navy veteran from Charlotte, North Carolina who is the first person in his immediate family to pursue a university degree.

After graduating high school, Anthony attended the Navy’s Military Police School and spent five years stationed in Japan and Bahrain. One thing kept bothering him -  “I discovered I had a job, but not a career”.

Beth Szymanski, born Deaf to hearing parents, had her first nightmare at three: she woke up and joined her Muppet family at the breakfast table, and couldn't understand a thing! Since then, she's woken up human every day. Elbow deep in yarn, she also draws, writes, forges jewelry, and reads poetry at local Open Mic events.
